Nola Joy Rogers, fondly known as Joy, was born on October 28, 1929, to Kenneth H. Rogers and Grace A. Rhynard-Rogers in the picturesque town of Yakima, Washington. Joy cherished her connection to Yakima and the stunning landscapes of Washington State throughout her life. At nine, she moved to Southern California, where she was lovingly raised by her Aunt Alice Rogers-Miller and Uncle John Miller in Beverly Hills and Arcadia. Joy’s adventurous spirit and radiant personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
As a devoted mother to Gayle, Merry, Bonni, and David, Joy’s deep love for her children was unwavering, despite the challenges life presented. Her kindness and warm heart defined her, and her legacy endures through the memories and love of her children, who carry her spirit forward with affection and gratitude.
